BEQA LAGOON FIJI 2017
Bula! A return trip to Beqa Lagoon in Fiji was requested by so many of our divers, we are going again! You will board Fiji Airways on June 1, 2017 and arrive at Nadi Airport on June 3. After a fun-filled week, we’ll leave the resort on June 10.
A visit to Beqa Island is truly a chance to get away from it all. A journey by boat across the Beqa Lagoon will transport you from life’s hustle and bustle, to the lovely, secluded Beqa Island. As you near the shoreline, the sound of Fijians singing a traditional welcome song will be the first sign you have arrived in paradise. A warm smile and a floral lei greet you when you step onto the sand of this enchanting island resort, where even the palm trees seem to sway to the music in the warm sea breeze.
12 stunning beachfront bures adorn the shoreline, each with their own private garden and large private sundeck with sun loungers and hammocks. Why not spend an afternoon cooled by the ocean breezes as you enjoy the private plunge pool of the beach front bures, or even have a private dinner on your deck as the sun sets.
Inside the rooms are a comfortable seating area and large open bathrooms. All of the rooms are supplied with fresh spring water straight from the mountains of Beqa. Ocean front bures are an additional $300 (per bure – not per person).
Follow over water wooden walkways to one of 6 charming bures that wrap around the koi pond or 3 very private bures are nestled in gorgeous tropical gardens.
At nearly 1,000 square feet, the two bedroom suites are perfect for families or small groups. Each suite has a large living and dining room area and private decking or balcony, which look out over the water to the main island of Viti Levu in the distance, and allows you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean.
All of the bures are air-conditioned, and have ceiling fans. There are also tea and coffee facilities as well as a fully stock mini-bar, complimentary turn down service, and a laundry service for a small charge. Wireless internet is available throughout the resort and bures for a charge.
Surrounded by over 190 miles of spectacular coral reef on one of the world’s largest barrier reefs, Beqa Lagoon Resort offers divers a gateway to a wonderland of marine life and some of the best diving in Fiji, the soft coral capital of the World.
With dive sites that start from as shallow as 15 feet and drop away to nearly 100 feet and beyond in some places, divers are able to dive at a variety of depths, depending on what they are looking for. With year round temperatures ranging between a cool 75˚f and a bathwater 84˚f divers are comfortable in 3mm to 5mm suits.
Beqa Lagoon Resort also offers incredible shark dives – bull sharks, lemon sharks, white and black tip sharks, nurse sharks and tiger sharks! This is a not to be missed experience. The cost is $85 if you replace one of your two tank dive days or $150 if you add another dive day.
Included in this trip are:
Private bures with air conditioning, ceiling fans, private bathroom tea and coffee facilities, fully stocked mini bar, laundry service (for a small charge), and turn down service each night. In room safes and hair dryers also provided.
Five days of diving!
We will do three days of two tank dives and two days of three tank dives. Plus unlimited shore diving. On the two 3 tank dive days, a picnic lunch will be included.
Gourmet meals (vegetarian option available daily). We all meet at Bure Kalou for our meals and spend time with fellow travelers to talk about the days events. Accompany your meal with a glass of wine from their international wine list or a Fijian beer. Happy hour will feature a different signature cocktail daily just in time to catch a beautiful sunset.
Complimentary foot massage upon arrival at Beqa Lagoon Resort – feels wonderful!
Tours to waterfalls and local villages.
Airfare to and from Los Angeles Airport (LAX) and transfer from Nadi Airport to Pacific Harbour where we’ll board a boat for a 45 minute trip over to Beqa Island.
The cost is $3,580 (this includes the current rate for air fuel surcharge/air taxes, and hotel and Fiji taxes). For non-divers, the cost is $500 less. There will be a $500 non-refundable deposit required at the time of booking.
Call Robyn at the dive store (808) 879-3584 Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or on her cell phone (360) 521-8477 to reserve your spot (these are going to go fast)!

We won’t have a good day if you don’t – Let’s Go Diving!
Aloha! I want to thank the captain and crew of the Sea Spirit for a fantastic experience diving at Molokini at Crater. This was the first dive I've taken without my own buddy in tow, so I was hoping to find at least one friendly diver on the boat. Instead I found 3 crew that instantly felt like friends and a small group of fun loving divers who all stayed together safely as a group, guided by Ricardo who pointed out all the interesting creatures below, from sea turtle to octopus. It was like a dream and I can't wait to return to Maui for more diving. Mahalo!!Jennifer Pandino
We dove with 3 different outfits in Maui. All were very good, but yours was the best. The Adventure-X trip on Wednesdays was perfect. We dive a lot at home and prefer being around advanced divers. Ed's crew handles dives perfectly: no rushing, maximum bottom time, safety. The backside of Molokini was amazing. Also, splitting the 2nd tank into two short dives was very considerate. Other operations would have burned the entire tank at one location. We'll be back!Jonathan
This is my third trip to Maui and diving with Ed Robinson's diving Adventures and I LOVE IT. I probably did anywhere between 50 and 60 dives with ERDA, Molokini back and forth and along the East Coast of Maui knowing all the cool reefs, wrecks and 'secret' spots. Not only I always enjoy the 'hang loose' characters of the dive masters and boat crew, no it's like meeting friends and almost family. Been 'lured' to other dive ops around Maui but keep bouncing back to ERDA. As an enthusiastic diver, photographer and videographer it's a great pleasure to go back to the SEA DIVER and SEA SPIRIT every week. There is no better Maui diving than with Ed and his excellent crew. Mahalo and Mele Kalikimaka.Beat Korner
